Copped Hall Afternoon Tea 

Saturday 29th July.

What could be more traditional than Afternoon Tea? Well now you have the chance to enjoy scrumptious homemade sandwiches, cakes and scones served with a pot of tea using lovely china, ending with an optional stroll around the wonderful gardens at Copped Hall.

Gates open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start and the event finishes at 5pm with the car park closing at 5.15pm.

Road Directions

From the M25, junction 26. Follow signs to Loughton (then to Epping). Drive uphill through the forest to the roundabout. Take the first left exit (B1393), passing the garage on the left. In slightly over half a mile, turn left, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From Woodford and Loughton. Drive to the Wake Arms roundabout, follow signs to Epping (B1393) passing the garage on your left, in slightly over half a mile, turn left, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From Harlow and the M11. Follow signs to Epping for approximately 5 miles. Through Epping, after passing the Bell Hotel on your right, in slightly over a mile turn right, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

From North Weald. Drive to Epping. Go through Epping, after passing the Bell Hotel on your right, in slightly over a mile turn right, signposted Upshire. After a few hundred yards you will see on the right the entrance gates and gate houses to Copped Hall.

Note: the gates are electrically operated and require a code number to enter but open automatically when leaving. Do not disturb the gate house owners for access.

Public Transport Directions

Nearest stations are Epping on the Central Line and Chingford for the overground. Taxis can complete your journey from either.
