Pint On Clay: One Day Workshop

Saturday 26 January 2019

10am to 3pm

Tutor: Louise Moore

Class Fee £35.00

If not already a member of Bedford House Community Association there is a temporary £1 membership fee.

No previous experience in working with clay is needed for this workshop. This workshop will introduce you to a process for transferring drawn, collaged and photographic images onto a ceramic surface which is then fired. We shall be working on flat slabs/tiles of clay to create personalised images. A demonstration of the process will be given to show how to transform your own images.

Students will need to bring:

Black and white photocopies of your own photos or drawings

If you have access to a computer and are familiar with an art/image editing programme you can adjust to produce high contrast pictures.

You can also reference pictures that you have available to you.

NB: IMAGES/PICTURES FROM YOUR COMPUTER PRINTER DO NOT WORK WITH THIS PROCESS SO THEY MUST BE PHOTOCOPIED

I will have my laptop and specialist printer with me to print pictures from your memory stick – although I cannot spend too much time doing this as it will take away from class time – please come prepared!

Tea and coffee making facilities available; please bring a packed lunch
