About

Gilwell Park, set in 108 acres on the edge of Epping Forest, combines historic location with amazing facilities just 20 minutes from central London.

We want you to experience your wedding exactly the way you choose. We believe that a wedding at Gilwell Park is like no other. We don’t just offer a quintessentially Georgian house in a stunning rural setting, we encourage you to tailor every detail. We are immensely proud of The White House but we won’t let it determine the style, theme or budget of your day.

Gilwell Park is an approved licensed venue. Civil ceremonies can take place at Gilwell Park so that you can enjoy everything from your ceremony and wedding breakfast through to an overnight stay and more, such as a lunchtime barbeque or buffet. Bride-to-be Kate Healey, says: ‘We are so pleased that we are able to get married here. Scouting has been, and still is, a huge part of our lives and was how we met over 30 years ago.  Over 80% of our guests are friends that we have made through Scouting, so this was the obvious choice.’

Having your special day at Gilwell Park is not just about amazing service, delicious food and a stunning venue, but about everything our site has to offer. This includes use of our lounge bar, outdoor areas for reception drinks or an evening barbeque, our grounds for photographs of your day and of course our large main hall for your wedding breakfast with space for up to 180 people for formal dining. The White House makes a stunning backdrop for your wedding and the main hall can be transformed with an internal marquee-style liner to convert the space into a classic banqueting hall that is both elegant and weather proof. If you want to wow your guests with an historic and unique venue without breaking the bank, Gilwell Park is the ideal location for your wedding.

Our team will work with you to help plan your day and are available to you not just when you first enquire or book with us, but throughout the run up to your event, meaning that whatever your question, idea or query, you’ll have access to dedicated event experts who will help you get the most from your day.

Our experienced chefs are skilled at delivering our amazing wedding reception menus on site using the highest quality freshest ingredients. We are also able to offer options for dietary requirements including vegetarian options.

Whether you are looking for a cosy winter wedding in February or a sizzling summer event in June, the stunning surroundings of Gilwell Park make for treasured photographs and memories of you and yours.

Gilwell Park is available for weddings, subject to availability, seven days a week.

Don’t miss out on our late availability offers and available dates for 2017.
