This talk focuses on the history of zoos, then the role of the modern day zoo. Using Colchester Zoo specifically to examine the conservation work undertaken with breeding programmes and support of conservation programmes in the wild.

The talk is delivered by Rebecca Moore, Director of Conservation, Education and Research at Colchester Zoo.
