Organised by the Gnat Display Team at Hanger 4A, supporting The Gnat Display Team Charity (the trading name for The Heritage Aircraft Trust, UK registered Charity No. 1134981). It has the following charitable objectives:

TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GNAT AND OTHER HISTORIC AIRCRAFT AS HISTORIC AIRCRAFT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND TO DEMONSTRATE AND DISPLAY SUCH AIRCRAFT AT PUBLIC EVENTS AND TO CONSERVE THEM AS HERITAGE ASSETS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GNAT AND OTHER HISTORIC AIRCRAFT

Friday 27th: Time Line Events Friday Afternoon / evening photography access:

Gnats, Strikemasters, JP's, Hunter and a Huey will be joining us for a feast of high Octane photography and special effects as the sun sets over North Weald.

SMOKE ON! A return to North Weald for TimeLine as we join the Gnat Display Team for an evening of high-octane photography with up to 15 ex military jets from yesteryear. These will include a number or surprises and a few stalwarts, some not seen before in the UK and some hardly seen on the airshow circuit. With such an array of ex military jets we are sure you won’t be disappointed to spend an evening in the company of so much hardware as the sunsets over North Weald. A more comprehensive list of attending airframes will be added here as we build up to the event but be assured of a number of great surprises and a few 'top draw' attendees.

We are indebted to the Gnat Display Team again for allowing us this very unique opportunity on the eve of there second Jets Meet Up weekend, a weekend that looks like it will be an excellent opportunity in its own right. Our event however will be open to a small group of photographers and will see us in the presence of an unbelievable line up of ex military jets. Four possibly five Gnats, nearly one of every mk of JP, Strikemasters, a Hunter, a Huey and more to be confirmed as we get closer to the event.

If you love aircraft and love your photography you really do not want to miss this one off opportunity to photograph these fine aircraft during the afternoon, sunset and as darkness falls. Couple to this a selection of our trade mark special effects, including 'display smoke & lights on', and re-enactors and we you are assured of a full on session and plenty of maxed out memory cards! Our afternoon will start around 15.30 with our usual brief and then straight into photography. We will be spacing the aircraft out to allow plenty of space for photography. Pilots and owners will be on hand to help and chat to photographers which we hope you will enjoy and bring a very relaxed feel to proceedings, we are expecting food and drinks to be available throughout the session (at extra costs) and for our evening to finish at approximately 21.00.

This event is raising funds for the following good causes - The Heritage Aircraft Trust, The Essex Air Ambulance, The C54 Skymaster Restoration Appeal.

After the success of the 2018 event we expect tickets to this unique event to be snapped up so to avoid disappointment we recommend booking early.
