Museum Open Day Sunday 4th September

Once again we are again holding our annual Open Day on Sunday 4th September with additional displays and attractions outside the museum. The event is from 11am to 4pm.
We expect Classic Cars and refreshments, lots of aviation books, paintings and souvenirs to attract all sections of the public – enthusiast and passer by alike.
Any local groups that wish to bring a gazebo and or table and display outside the museum on the day (without charge) please contact the secretary: secretary@nwamuseum.co.uk
In the Museum shop
The North Weald Airfield Museum Shop has now restocked its gifts and mementoes for what is turning out to be a hot summer. All the old favourites are in the shop and we have added two new books to those on offer previously. Marking the presence of the Emergency Services on the airfield the museum has secured a small stock of the Police Helicopter and the Air Ambulance Operations books at just £15 ( original price £23)
Nearby are the Epping and Ongar Railway and of course, the airfield and its welcoming cafes, Wings and the Rosie Lea Cafe & Tea Rooms. You can expect to see many aircraft flying on fine days.

North Weald Airfield Museum is housed in the orginal airfield gatehouse and sits outside the airfield perimeter. It is at the Epping end of North Weald opposite Norway House on the road leading to Bookers. There is parking in the surrounding roads.
