Dating back to the 18th century, the new owner Claudio and his team, have sympathetically refurbished and transformed the pub and brought it back to life. If you're looking for a traditional pub experience, in heritage surroundings, you'll have to go a long way to beat a pint at the Foresters.

Road Directions
The Foresters is in High Ongar which is located a mile north-east of Chipping Ongar, 8 miles west of Chelmsford and 6 miles north-west of Brentwood. Its on The Street just off the A414 Chelmsford Road between the Four Wantz roundabout at Ongar and King Street turn-off to Blackmore. Travelling from Ongar on the A414, take the right turn after Mulberry House signposted to High Ongar and follow the road around to the left and continue past the Church and the pub is along that road on the left. Coming from Chelmsford on the A414, The Street is the next turning on the left after the King Street turning.
There is a small pub carpark and parking in The Street.
