The Epping Ongar Railway Evening Real Ale Train
Takes place 14th June from 5pm - steam hauled

Enjoy travel on the Epping Ongar Railway evening train services - tickets allow travel on all services after from 16.45. The train will make a number of journeys between North Weald, Ongar and Epping Forest throughout the evening.
Leave the car at home!
It's easy to get to us, as a vintage London bus connection will operate from Epping Underground station (Central Line, zone 6), via Epping High Street, for these services. You can plan your journey to Epping on the TfL Journey Planner.
Real Ales and Ciders
A selection of local Real Ales and ciders will be available on board the train. Details will be available here in advance of each evening.
Hot Food
We can offer a hot food option of fish and chips for an additional charge of £15.00 (for both Real Ale Train and All Day Rover ticket holders). This will be served on the train at your seat during the evening. This option must be pre-ordered. This can be done online, below. Alternatively, bar snacks will be available throughout the evening.
Fares
The fare is just £19.50 which allows unlimited travel on our evening services from 16.45. Drinks and other purchases from the bar are charged seperately on the day, and contactless payments are accepted! If you wish to spend all day with us, then our All Day Rover fares include travel on the evening trains. Tickets purchased via the link below are only valid on our evening train and bus services.
When booking you can also purchase an optional fish and chip supper for an additional fare of £15.00.

This event takes place over the EOR Railway and the best place for Londoners to start their journey is right outside Epping Underground Station where the vintage London Bus takes you directly to North Weald Station:

Accessibility
- Disabled Parking - There is very limited parking available at the stations, with priority given to blue badge / disabled customers. Please drive and park with care, avoid blocking access and with consideration of our neighbours.
- Disabled persons toilet - Ladies and Gentlemen's toilets are available at Ongar and North Weald stations. Baby changing equipment is included within the Family Room / Ladies Waiting Room facilities at both stations. Disabled toilets are available in Ongar High Street (400 yards from station). Unfortunately, while we have enabled step-free access to Ongar building, the Grade II listed 1865 station does not accommodate a wheelchair accessible toilet. We have recently installed a new disabled toilet in our outlet building at North Weald.
- Facility for service dogs - Well controlled dogs, guide and assistance dogs are welcome on our railway at no extra charge. However we are unable to accept dogs, other than assistance dogs, on our dining trains. Should your companion feel thirsty, there are usually water bowls on the platforms with fresh water available. If you cannot find these, please don't hesitate to ask.
- Guide Dogs Permitted - Well controlled dogs, guide and assistance dogs are welcome on our railway at no extra charge. However we are unable to accept dogs, other than assistance dogs, on our dining trains. Should your companion feel thirsty, there are usually water bowls on the platforms with fresh water available. We also have the "Buffet Stop" at Ongar, also selling hot and cold drinks, crisps and snacks. We recommend the Picnic and Viewing Area at Ongar to relax and unwind, offering a grandstand view of the station and locomotives. At North Weald we have a number of picnic tables around the site that you are welcome to use. There are a number of local pubs and restaurants in both Ongar and North Weald, all offering hot meals.
