Join Felicitas chamber choir for a varied concert of music performed in the lovely setting of St John's Church, Epping

This March concert will celebrate German composers and the rich influence they have had on choral music, throughout Europe and beyond. Felicitas will perform works spanning four centuries, from Buxtehude and J.S.Bach (who is said to have walked 300 miles to hear Buxtehude perform), to those who Bach himself influenced including Handel, Schubert, Mendelssohn and Reger.

  • Handel – O praise the Lord with one consent (opening chorus)
  • Schütz – Jauchzet dem Herrn & Selig sind die Toten
  • Hassler – Cantate Domino 
  • Schubert – Psalm 23
  • Mendelssohn – Richte mich, Gott (Psalm 43)
  • Brahms – Wo ist ein so herrlich Volk (from Fest und Gedenksprücke)
  • Reger – Unser lieben Frauen Traum
  • Beethoven – ‘Hallelujah’ from ‘Christ on the Mount of Olives’
