and Town Mayor's Best Allotment Awards

Saturday, September 2nd

2pm to 4.30pm at the Murray Hall in Borders Lane, Loughton .

Free admission

Doors open to Exhibitors at 9am  Show open to the public at 2pm

Refreshments available
Prize giving at 4pm followed by the Town Mayor’s Best Allotment Awards presentation

Classes include vegetables, fruit, cut flowers and flower arrangements, jams, preserves, chutneys, and cakes. Children’s classes include baking, decorating biscuits/cakes in a Coronation theme, creating the funniest cress head. Decorating a plant pot and create an autumnal door wreath.

Entries are welcome from anyone who lives, works or goes to school or college in Loughton; allotmenteers, keen gardeners, children and novices are all welcome to compete.  Forms are available to download from www.loughton-tc.gov.uk or may be collected from the Town Council office or by calling 020 8508 4200 or collect a form from Loughton Library in Traps Hill. 

Entries must be submitted by 12 noon on Friday 1st September 2023.

Admission to the show is free and refreshments will be available. Awards will be presented at 4pm followed by the presentation of the Town Mayor’s Best Allotment Awards 2023.

There will be an opportunity to purchase plants and planted arrangements from Matthews Plants. 

All proceeds, and exhibits not collected, will be donated to the Town Mayor’s charity, Grow Community Garden. Any donations will be accepted on the day.
