This is one of the great musical pairings from one of the greatest composers of all time. The so-called ‘Great’ mass lives up to its name, with stratospheric, virtuosic soprano solos and powerful, challenging chorus writing. The ‘Solemn Vespers’ also features some of his best music, including the much-loved ‘Laudate Dominum’.
