Sheesh Chigwell Exterior at night

About

Set within a beautifully restored 600‑year‑old half‑timbered building, Sheesh Chigwell offers a truly memorable dining experience combining historic surroundings with vibrant, contemporary Turkish cuisine.

Family‑run since its beginnings, Sheesh is renowned for its warm hospitality, lively atmosphere and high‑quality food, making it a firm favourite with both locals and visitors to the area. The restaurant’s characterful interior blends period features with stylish modern touches, creating an inviting setting for both relaxed lunches and special evening dining.

The menu is rooted in traditional Turkish and Mediterranean flavours, with an emphasis on expertly grilled meats, fresh seafood, colourful meze dishes and slow‑cooked specials. Ingredients are carefully sourced to ensure freshness and quality, with dishes prepared with skill and attention to detail by experienced chefs.

Complementing the food is a thoughtfully curated drinks menu, alongside an upstairs bar that offers a relaxed space to enjoy cocktails, wines and after‑dinner drinks. Live music evenings and the restaurant’s buzzing ambience add to the sense of occasion, making Sheesh an ideal destination for celebrations as well as casual meals.

Located in the heart of Chigwell, Sheesh combines heritage, hospitality and bold flavours, delivering a dining experience that is as distinctive as its historic setting.
