Chingford Golf Course is an 18-hole parkland layout, par 71, stretching between 6,300 and 6,400 yards from the back tees. The course is arranged in two loops of nine, each beginning and ending on Chingford Plain, with gentle climbs into the forest before returning to open ground. Golfers will find a mix of tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, strategic bunkers, and a water hazard protecting the 10th green.
Set in the heart of Epping Forest, the course combines natural beauty with history, having once formed part of medieval royal hunting grounds. The layout moves smoothly between open fairways and more enclosed woodland sections, demanding accuracy in places while offering moments to play more freely. Multiple tee options make it accessible to golfers of different levels, while its peaceful setting offers a welcome escape close to London.
Chingford Golf Course is also home to Royal Epping Forest Golf Club, one of only nineteen clubs in England to carry the Royal title, adding a sense of heritage to a course that remains open and welcoming to all.
