Meeting at Waltham Abbey Tourist Information Centre (based in the Town Hall, Highbridge Street EN9 1DE), you will be introduced to your tour guide(s) whilst enjoying light refreshments for day tours. Evening tours will greeted by your guide(s) outside Waltham Abbey Church and given a visitor bag.

These guided walking tours consist of a very informative introduction to Historic Waltham Abbey. The talks cover the areas around Waltham Abbey church, Abbey Gardens, market square, Sun Street and Highbridge Street, exploring its history past and present, and takes 1-2 hours. These times can be adjusted to your group’s requirement.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the day and evening walks. These tours are suitable for people with mobility issues (past tours have included people in wheelchairs and mobility scooters), and most of the areas covered by the guides are flat and accessible. The guides will adjust their tours according to your group needs. (Unfortunately, the Tourist Infoirmation Centre does not hire wheelchair.)

After your guided tour Waltham Abbey offers plenty of different places to eat/drink and enjoy the rest of the day.
