Buckhurst Hill Local History Walk

A relaxed and informative stroll around some of the notable sights of Buckhurst Hill, and back into its history.

Beginning at ‘The Seats’ by Buckhurst Hill House, we will take a leisurely stroll down Queens Road, looking at both shops and houses while considering architecture and social history. We will then continue through the railway underpass to also examine Lower Queens Road and the development of eastern Buckhurst Hill.

4 Westbury Road, Buckhurst Hill IG9 5NW runs between Russel Road and Palmerstone Road off the A121 High Road.

The buildings are not wheelchair accessible.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest tube station is Buckhurst Hill on the Central Line. Upon leaving the station, walk along Palmerstone Road in the direction of the High Road and turn right into Westbury Road where Bedford House Community Association is on the left.
