Debden House is surrounded by Epping Forest and is a perfect location for a camping getaway. Debden’s central location, only 20 minutes from the Stratford International terminal and 30 minutes from London Central, makes it an ideal base to explore London, Essex and the Home Counties.

Debden House Campsite has 7 fields*, including 4 fire fields (fields 2, 5, 6 & 7). There are 300+ pitches, many with electric hookup for caravans and campervans. It also has the facility for set camps for youth groups, schools and larger bookings

The campsite can cater for all camping tastes such as:

Fire Fields

Debden House is one of the few remaining campsites to allow open fires. There are now dug out fire pits in the ground for you to have an open fire. Bags of wood and kindling are available to purchase. Note fields 2, 5, 6 & 7 are fire fields.

Day Visits

Day visitors can attend Debden House Campsite for barbecues, group events, sporting activities etc. Please view the prices page for charges.

Set Camp Bookings

Debden Campsite House can provide facilities and camping equipment for schools and youth group set camps. Please use the set camp resource order form to reserve set camp equipment. For more information telephone Debden House on 020 8508 3008 to discuss your requirements.

Road Directions

From Junction 26 on the M25

Leave the motorway and follow the signs to Epping / Loughton. Travel along the A121, Honey Lane becoming Woodridden Hill, up to a large roundabout (Wake Arms). Take the third exit sign posted to Loughton, A121 Golding’s Hill and travel along this through the forest turning into the first turning on the left when houses appear, Clays Lane. Follow Clays Lane to the end and turn left into England’s Lane at the junction. Debden Road is a short way along on the left.

From Junction 5 northbound on the M11 (there is no southbound exit at this junction)

Leave the motorway and turn left into Chigwell Lane. Pass under the railway bridge and continue past Epping Forest College on your left as the road becomes Rectory Lane. Contine until the staggered junction and turn into Pryles Lane on your right. Continue along Pryles Lane (shops on your right closest to campsite) and straight on where it crosses Hillyfields to the mini roundabout at the end. Turn right here into England’s Lane and continue on past the junction with Clays Lane on your left. Debden Road is a short distance further along on the left.

Public Transport Directions

Debden Station on the Central Line is within walking distance. Leaving the station walk straight ahead to Debden where there are plenty of shops including a Sainsbury's you will pass. When you reach the Broadway, turn right and proceed to the main road where you turn right and are in Rectory Lane opposite Epping Forest College. Proceed as per road directions from M11.

Numerous TFL buses travel to Debden and Loughton from Greater London.
