About the play

Leeds, 1977.  In a police Incident Room, we enter the world of an investigation into a shocking serial killer, known as The Yorkshire Ripper.  Focusing on the investigating team and potential witnesses, we find the police in a world without computers, without DNA analysis and without CCTV… but perhaps the biggest hindrance to the investigation is prejudice.

In a story both tense and darkly funny by turns, amid mounting public pressure, and as the team struggle to keep up with events and sift through contradicting evidence, who will make the critical impact on the investigation?
