The John Barleycorn Pub & Restaurant, Threshers Bush, Epping.

About

A Warm Welcome

Welcome to the John Barleycorn Pub and Restaurant, located just a short drive from Epping and Harlow in the village of Threshers Bush. We specialise in providing fantastic, locally sourced, freshly prepared food, accompanied by excellent service and a warm friendly atmosphere.

About Us

The John Barleycorn Pub is one of the most attractive pub/restaurants in the area. Situated in delightful countryside, yet only 2 miles from Junction 7 of the M11, the John Barleycorn is a great place to meet for a drink or dine from our extensive menu.

The old exposed oak beams and warm cosy atmosphere make a great place to eat and drink with friends and family. The pub looks out onto our large garden and patio area with tables, parasols, pond with fountain and well maintained lawns which back onto the countryside.

As a family run pub for over 8 years, Carl and Pauline Yardley pride themselves on providing only the highest quality, locally sourced produce, freshly prepared from kitchen to table with an emphasis firmly on flavour and outstanding service.

Our A la Carte Menu offers seasonal dishes accompanied by our fantastic daily Specials Board. As dishes are freshly prepared, most dietary needs can be catered for. Our Sunday Roast served from noon until 8pm, is a must and should not to be missed. Tuesday to Saturday Lunchtime, apart from the Main Menu, a Bar Snacks Menu is also available.

All our food is homemade, please advise of any allergies or dietary requirements.

We take pride in offering a great selection of drinks ranging from brand named lagers and Real Ales through to a first class Wine List, which has useful tasting notes to help you make your choice and our experienced staff are always available to help and advise.

We look forward to welcoming you to the John Barleycorn.
